What aftermarket heatsink? (Intel)

I did a search, but most of the threads i got were with amd cpu's, so I need everyones opinions for intel cpus. I really dont know too much about them, but the reason i need to get one now, is that i just got an x850xt with an arctic silencer, and the thing refuses to fit with my giant stock heatsink i'm using right now. I dont need anything too crazy, just something decent, i kind of want to keep the cost down.

Edit: I just thought of something else, i can replace the arctic cooler with the stock 850 fan, since he included it for me, but after 15 minutes of prying and pulling, the thing wont budge. Does anyone have any tips for removing the arctic silencer on the 850?

What socket is your Intel?

The best way to remove a video card heatsink is to unscrew your heatsink, put it in your PC, play a game, this will warm up the ram which is causing the thermal tape to become soft. As fast as you can quit the game, shut off windows and remove the card. Gently twist the heatsink and try to pull it off.

If you can't fit it in your PC I've also put a card in the oven at around 180 degrees which won't even harm the plastic fan housing. This will have the same effect.

If you're still interested in a smaller footprint (but still good and very quiet) cpu hsf, I reccommend:

Coolermaster KHC-L91-U1: Pure copper, 4 heatpipes...sweet cooling in a smallish package.

Shame you had to take off the AC hsf on your x850xt. I've got one on my x800xt AIW, and the difference in temps and sound level between it and the stock is incredible.

I use the Big Typhoon and it works great..

You've got to be very careful with the Big Typhoon. The Fan assembly is a weight, the heatpipes are a lever, which makes the heatsink/cpu/silicon on the mobo...what?

A $400 fulcrum!

And it's LOUD, too.

Great cooler though, if you're very, very careful with moving your system.

actually the Big Typhoon is only 1300 rpm and very quiet thats why I got it..

your talking about the old one...
