    Target of a Hacker

ok so i accidentally pissed someone off and hes like a known hacker around school and he hacks all the time. (hacker not as in aimbot, but as in like taking over your computer and stuff)

is there a way to ensure that he wont get into my computer if i have:

    Windows Firewall
    Ad-Aware (weekly scans)
    Spybot S&D (weekly scans)
Symantec Antivirus (corporate edition) (weekly scans) (which i think has some auto-protect)

is there anything else i need?

Your only recourse is to move out of town.

never give out your IP, don't go to websites or links you are sent in emails or IM's without total trust of the person sending you them.

Learn to understand Task Manager processes to recognise ones that shouldn't be there. Run regular virus scans. Encrypt all your private data. Change your passwords on a monthly basis, more if it is online shopping. Use good passwords, like 6-8 characters and 6 numbers. Use seperate passwords for different areas of your life online. Never record your username/passes on public computers or mates computers, always select not to remember.

If you have evidence of being hacked and you have a viable threat from this person, go to the police. Anti-hacking laws (non-terrorism) in the UK have just had the sentence doubled from 5 to 10 years maximum. It is a criminal offence and reportable.

now not that you should do this but you could always go and mess him up if he goes to school with ya

thats probably a bad idea but if you can find out hes doing it tell the police

Do you have a good router and is it configured properly if so you have nothing to worry about. If however you are like 99% of the world and just plug it in and its running on defaults anybody can access your computer.

              Router settings to change.
              1. turn off remote admin
              2. set a admin password
              3. use a non standard internal LAN IP range
              4. turn wireless off if not needed
              5. use a key if you use wireless

              your comp
1.change your workgroup to anything but defaults
              2. turn off and disable remote registy service.
              3. turn off and disable remote desktop help session manager service.

              your good to go otherwise.

The main thing is that he has to get ahold of your I.P. address for that to happen. So, simply don't give it to him.
