    bf2 preorder headset

My BF2 preorder headset finally died a couple days ago. It was acting weird for the past month or two with audio cutting out of the right headphone. And then it finally stopped working completely. I messed with it a little before I finally smashed it. The headphone cover for the right side fell off and the component inside wasn't connected to the wires anymore.

Anyone else use the headset and how long did yours last?

It was actually a decent headset. I tried my old headphones I used to use and they sound like **** now compared to how the BF2 headset sounded.

Isn't it a Logitech headset? I hope it's not a brand defect. I bought a similar looking one from Logitech.

Switch to Turtle Beach headsets. You can get 5.1 surround headphones with a microphone for about $30.

I haven't ever used the Logitech headset, but sometimes their stuff is sketchy. I do use a Logitech keyboard and mouse, Extreme 3D pro, and Wingman controller. However, the last keyboard and mouse set I had from Logitech would crash my computer constantly. I guess it was just too old, and the drivers were ancient.

I had a Logitech Precision Gaming Headset a while ago. I don't know if it's the same what you mean but the symptoms are just what I had. Those phones lasted less than a year (thank God), got my money back and bought Philips Gaming Headphone. Those have much better sound, they don't push my ears so much what Logitech did and they feel quite comfortable to wear in general.

Precision Gaming Headset was first poor quality product from Logitech that I've owned.

Mine's still going strong. I used them until about a month ago, then I ordered my current headset. I still haven't had any issues with them. Mine are holding up really well for a free headset with mic.

I have had the same Logitech Stereo Headset for about 2 years now with no problems at all. It looks similar to the BF2 pre-order one. My headphones have been from El Paso to Indianapolis, on to Qatar, Iraq, and now South Korea. The only minor thing I can think of as a complaint is that the mute switch doesn't FULLY mute. People in TS still hear the mic hitting my desk and whatnot. They just can't hear what I'm saying.
