  • Will it work?

    Im looking into buying a computer, and Ive found one with these specs:

    * AMD Athlon 64Bit 4200 x 2 Dual Core Processor (upgradeable to AMD Athlon 64Bit 4600 x 2)
    * Quality Asus Motherboard
    * 1024MB PC3200 DDR (upgradeable to 2048MB PC3200 DDR)
    * 256MB Nvidia 7600 GS PCI-Express Graphics Card
    * 16x Dual Layer DVD ReWriter
    * 250GB SATA Hard Drive
    * Floppy drive
    * 5.1 Channel Audio

    Will these specs be able to run BF2?

    If they cant, please reccomend a PC (£500 or lower).

    Thanks.

    Re: Will it work?

    It will definitely run BF2, but the video card is squarely on the low-end side.

    edit: and the RAM is dead-end (ddr v ddr2/pc3200 v. pc2xxxx). Not a big deal if you don't plan on recycling it later, though.

      For the price that is a great pre-built PC. It will run BF2 on mostly medium and some high.

        I can change the RAM to DDR2, will that make it better?

          Can you give a link to the comp?

          DDR2 is better and newer.

                    You can if you have a mobo that supports both ddr and ddr2, like mine does.
