Re: VISTA released!
There is no better time then now to buy a MAC.:p Seriously, now that Vista is released, and my experience with windows, I am interested in getting an ibook, so much more reliable and none of Microsofts world dominating software. I'm probably going to hell for saying that now.=oComment

Re: VISTA released!
Microsoft is taking no chances in (x64) being left behind.
They are equally supporting both. Unlike XP 64-bit. Microsoft has taken the time to make both Vista x86 / x64 @ the same time. OEM and Hardware makers also have taken the new Vista into account and are equally supporting both x86 / x64 @ the same time as well for driver support for the most part. Although the x64 versions are not on Newegg's site just yet. They all will be equally supported in the communitee and I'm sure the 64-bit version will be on there soon enough.
OK I just was searching Newegg.com and found the Vista 64-bit if you looking for those.
Although they not be available just yet. They are there and price is same as 32-bit. Check this site in another day or so and they should have them.

Re: VISTA released!
Lets not mention that the NSA helped fix many of the problems with Vista from what ive read.
Also, i would give it a good year before purchase as it is going to be buggy as hell.

Re: VISTA released!
What mook told you that just try and find a Lexmark vista driver. Anyway the majority of Vista installs will be x32 so x64 Vista will be seen as "an enthusist" OS like XP x64 and will lag behind in drivers for some time because the money is in x32.Originally posted by Bad-MothaOEM and Hardware makers also have taken the new Vista into account and are equally supporting both x86 / x64 @ the same time as well for driver support for the most part.Comment

Originally posted by stephensolfoim waiting till service pack 1 as tjhose hackers are gonna find out the exploits in it easily.^ Ditto, though it's going to be more about stability and interoperability than security.Originally posted by Scintonah you just wait till Q3 i think when SP1 gets released
There are XP plugins and applets that will give you the look of Vista, if that's your cup o' tea.Originally posted by AdenFlorianlol, ive had vista since new years. but it still sucks, but it looks soooo coooool
I'll up grade to Vista when there is a compelling reason. Likely that will happen when I see the words "Vista" and "Fully DX10 Compatible Video Card" under the sysreq's of my next new favorite game, "Battlefield: 4142 Bugs Fixed".Comment
