    Video Card Compatibility

    I have an AA8XE motherboard and the manual says that my PCIx16 slots can only transfer 8GB/S. The Nvidia 8800 does somewhere around 86gb/s. Is this the same thing, or will it be compatible?

    Yep, the 8800GTS will work on your mobo. What are your other specs?

    Get this 8800GTS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130071

        What are your CPU specs?

        Also, if you have the money then i would suggest to get DDR2 667.

            ok, well with 2gb of RAM and the 8800GTS you will be able to play any game at the highest possible settings.

            NOTE: You cpu will definately bottleneck your 8800GTS, so i would upgrade you CPU next.

              I am guessing it is the whole thing, but the thing is I am doing the entire tower... on my list (1st to buy) RAM, Processor, Video Card, etc etc

                CPU=Proccessor

                So what proccessor are you gonna upgrade to?

                If you have the money, you should upgrade your mobo and get a new proccesor like the Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2.4Ghz

                        You DO NOT need a 1000W PSU. A 650-700W would be plenty of power for the 8800GTX.
