A friend of mine is building the system I list below.

AMD Athlon 64 (AM2) 3800 @ 2.4Ghz
MSI Micro-ATX AM2 Motherboard
NVIDIA nForce 410/6100 chipset
1GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800 CAS4 RAM (2x 512MB, dual-channel)
WinXP Pro SP3

Will this be ok to run BF2 & COD2 on ???

I know it would run better with a nice PCI-Express X16 video card.
But trying to go the cheap route for now.
The motherboard has PCI-Ex X16 slot for upgrading later.

The X850XT is an excellent card BTW. I have it in my current Athlon 64 system that only has AGP8X.

Runs BF2 @ high settings no probs.

Even using the ATI Catalyst 7.1 I was able to OC' the card to
594 Core / 614 Memory

Runs great.

* I wouldn't recomend that X1650 card as it is only 128-bit (256-bit is best)
128-bit cards don't fair too well with playing BF2 @ high settings.

An NVIDIA 7800GT would be a nicer alternative if you are stuck w/ AGP8X

I am refuting that. The 7600 GT is 128-bit, and it can play BF2 at really high settings.
