i want to know if putting my 7900 in the second slot of my evga 590 SLI is okay?? i cant use the first slot because the retarts at antec made the top slot of my 900 with out enough clearance

I've checked for an online manual and found none. I think your answer would be in that if you still have it. I believe it won't matter which socket, but I can't be sure at this time.Comment

Since that mobo has dual 16x PCI-e slots, it should be fine to put it in the second slot. On older SLI motherboards the second slot was... 4x I think until you went SLI mode and it put both slots to 8x. Newer motherboards have the ability to run both slots with 16 lanes each.Comment
