interesting results

I wanted to do some minimal clocking and run a couple benchmarks to see at the same approx clocks what the differences in the c2d and the x2 3800 would be and to say the least I'm impressed


with the same exact hardware with the same approx settings

X2 3800 @ 2.5 3DMark Score 30551

intel e6300 @ 2.25 3DMark Score 36167

My E6600 would kick the underwear off my 3500+ hands down. Even beats my mates FX-62

Like you im very im pressed with the core duos even the cheap ones pack a nasty punch!

This summer, they are releasing updated versions, with double the cache at e6400 and e6300 for the same price. Going to wait on the upgrade til' then, unless DAAMIT (AMD+ATI jumbled up) pulls something out of their now-collected hoo-hoos.
