It is a relatively risky procedure, requiring a lot of time and dedication to be given in order to get the best from your hardware. It is very easy to overclock too far and destroy your hardware, so, unless you know what you are doing.

overclocking is relativly simple when you sit down and read about it. But then again my mobo makes it so easy for me.
I can go into the memory tell it that its SLI memory (which it is) and it will take the timings from 5-5-5-18 to 4-4-4-12. Then my Mobo will auto adjust the Voltage etc with the CPU clock. EVGA 680i FTW!!!!!!!!!Comment

Yea, overclocking the memory and tightening latencies is easy....
it's when you get down to things like trying to break the 3.0ghz barrier on a Intel Core 2 Duo with stock cooling. Thats when it takes skill. But any old person can click the "find optimal" button in Nvidia's coolbitsComment
