iv noticed this really odd smell coming for my psu, and i noticed this white goo on a capacitor. it smells like burnign plastic, anyone know what it is?

well if it smells liek burning plastic i hazard a guess that something is getting to hot in there and its plastic:p

Well... whatever it is... it shouldn't be burning...

Could you take the lid off and have a look maybe add some pics.

You might just want to invest in a new PSU

everything seems to be normal, the fan goings ariund, the white goo is thermal stuff but the smell is awful.

not as i can see. also, when i put my hand on the top of the case ontop of the power supply it feels warm, is that normal? it just smells bad....

warm is fine smell is unusual to have but no smoke no fire ... is there anything that works with your computer??
