Computer beeps alot but it doesnt turn on

when i turn on my comp sometimes everything turns on but nothing shows up on my monitor and the computer beeps alot. its a new comp, whats wrong?

Search the 'net and find out what the beeps mean. It's your BIOS talking to you. Count the beeps.

The mobo is the thing that is beeping. The type of beeps will determine the problem. Beeps are a mobo's way of talking to you.

ok, but once it doesnt let me in all i do is press the power button cuz if i restart it does the same thing then it lets me in ok..

you could have a loose lead touching your mobo, check all connectors to see if wires hanging out. Your PSU could be dodgy, the power connector to your GU might not be rsat right, or GPU not sat on mobo correctly. It could be absolutely anything right now!

Have you got a warranty and a local shop to do the work?>

If it has issues and then restarts, it could be one of the cards on it is not seated properly. Try removing and reinstalling the cards.

Did you make the pc? It may be a faulty memory module etc. Try with the basics attatched, the processor and fan, 1 memory module and the hdd, see if it boots and then add one component at a time. If it reverts back to beeping when youve attatched a part then its probably that part.

could be a lose video card, ram not put in all the way, bad ram and so forth u gotta do some research on ur mother board and find out wat the beeps mean its simple as that.

If it happens only once in a while, it could be either a power surge, a mechanical component taking the piss or you physically abusing your PC.
