Mouse lag/bounce

Whenever I jerk my mouse I get some sort of lag or fall behind.
Say I turn/look to the right 90 degree very fast. What happens is that my screen will show a view 90 degree to the right, but then a frame later, it "bounces" back 10-15 degree to the left.

So it's not exactly mouse lag, but more of inaccuracy when jerking my mouse.

specs: pentium d 805 3.2 GHz, 2GB RAM, 7800GT, logitech G5 mouse. I run 1280x1024 w/ most settings on medium or low.

Reinstall newest Setpoint from logitech and see if it clears it up.

Why are you running that on medium/low.....I have about the same setup and I run all on high and get 50fps.

Why are you running that on medium/low.....I have about the same setup and I run all on high and get 50fps.

Do you still have 50 fps in 64 player online servers?

Ahh well if you did it already and there is no issue then don't worry about it.

If you are having trouble, then reinstall it to make sure. You don't know what the issue is and neither do I. We can go through the free things to check on them or you can just buy a new mouse. I'm good either way.

He's right, though. Another thing you can try is running without installing setpoint at all. Setpoint pi$$ed me off because I had to map some of the buttons on my Mx1000 to useless functions to avoid minimizing the game at inopportune times. When I tried to map them to nothing, it still minimized the game just to tell me that the button wasn't mapped to anything. After removing Setpoint, all of the buttons I use work just fine and the ones I don't use anyway don't do anything at all.

I haven't run into ANY problems with my mouse when just using WinXPs default mouse drivers, though. It's something to try...
