I own a Saitek Evo Force. It's excellent, it has everything. Except for one thing: It came pretty uncalibrated and I had to set a really wide deadzone.

That's a lot of DZ. It's extremely noticeable when you are trying to gun a jeep down. You actually can't move the cursor by small degree.


My point is, Logitech users, did you have to set such big areas of deadzone as well in order to have your JS working properly?

No, I'm using a Logitech X3D Pro. My deadzone is currently set to 5% for the rudder which works fine for me when aiming at small tagets on teh ground.

Use mouse with left hand for rudder and pitch together with joystick for maximum accuracy :) Takes some practice, but removes deadzone and maximizes ground attack accuracy.

@LuckySeven-These joysticks have a dedicated rudder twist, but for those who don't have that. Your method is best.

That's like... using the JS only for maximizing the jet's capacity of turning?
Too little functions for like 70$. I even don't use it with helis.
But sounds interesting. And not that difficult also.


Any more Logitech users? I want your opinions :)

Have you tried fixing your JS? The problem you have seems to be awfully similar to the problems occuring with a very old and used joystick. When the otentiometres get totally worn out.

Logitech X3D Pro I use, more than half a years worth of total hardcore use, and deadzeones are set for 5%, and even that isnt necessary.

Well I guess Saitek joysticks just suck... I bought one. It got a bit to worm to my taste and I had this issue which requires a lot of deadzone fixes. It was my first JS so I thought something was wrong with it.
I replaced it under warranty and the problem remained. It took a good research to find the solution lol (setting deadzone).

So my point is that it is neither broken nor old, the problem is in the factory :\

Lol I knew I shoudn't have bought it. Everyone said "buy Logitech" but me... well this is me :cry:

My Logitech 3D X Pro works fine.

My first one got broken. When I should take off, it started turning to left. Then I got skipped a new one.
