and if you turn everything to medium, you'll be in game faster. High is overkill for killing purposes.

If its a GT version yes, if its a run of the mill 6600 no, medium mostly.

I think he means a Geforce 7600gt and a Intel Core 2 Duo E6600!
Not a geforce 6600gt
I have a 7600gt and can play fine on maxed out (Depending on the resolution). I use 1280x1024

7600gt's overclock damn far.
If you can afford a Zalman VF900 aftermarket cooler then you will get a lot more out of it. The Zalman VF700 is also very good it just doesnt cool as far.

This GPU comes with a custom cooler designed by the vendor whcih improves performance when overclocking.
