We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
hey
i plan on upgrading my motherboard, cpu and ram while still using my old case hard drive.the question is do i need to reinstall the operating system (windows xp) or can i use the one that is already installed on the hard drive?
you will either have to reinstall or do a "repair" since so much hardware has changed.
to do a repair, boot with the XP cd after you have upgraded and choose repair. after repairing, I *think* you will have to reinstall the windows updates, but im not sure.
ok thanks where do i get the cd from because i already have the cd key which came with the computer.
hm, if the computer didnt come with a cd (such as dell, hp, etc..) check your documentation on how to do a recovery. sometimes manufactures put the cd install stuff on a hidden partition on the hard drive so that you can restore the pc to "just like the day you bought it". you'll probably have to copy all your stuff to another drive so you dont lose it during the recovery. if thats not an option, try borrowing a legit xp cd from a friend and trying the repair from that. make sure you know your xp key for when you repair. if you dont know it download keyfinder to find it.
On the off-chance you're in a university, you can possibly get a real copy of xp pro for a small price. I got my copy for $32 through my university bookstore via the M$ licensing program.
Funny thing is, I got it for home use (mostly occasional gaming) while I'm using (mostly) linux at work.
since you have a ligit key code it doesnt matter about the cd, if you have a friend with a windows XP cd you can copy it and it will be fine, reinstall your system after changing everything as u will have driver conflicts
