at this point guys, ask for money- then use it for a midrange directX 10 gcard sometime in january (something like an 8600 series, the 8800 will blow your wallet into oblivion) - or see the ati based solution which is rumored to be VERY powerful -

ah well. still, a good *independent* (sometimes they do tend to be overly partial to ATI) source to direct folks to when they ask.
at least until vista/dx10/dx10games/etc. comes out.
p.s. i really, really like the numbers for the x1950xt, for the price.
