Oops!

I had my case open last night and I saw my mobo spark! I found it out to be an unused usb connector from the memory card reader touched my board and make a spark. So, I moved it, and my computer restarted. :cry:

Everything seems fine, just wanted to make sure I havent messed up anything hardware related. Could I have done anything bad by doing this?

its probably fine mate...its never good for it to spark though...go to your control panel and ckick administrative tools and then event viewer and see why the PC restarted..

I looked but there is nothing that says it was shut down or anything. It just instantly shut down and restarted.

yeh mbos either work or they dont. If it posted and loaded windows you were lucky.

Next time make sure all cables are tied back and away form circuit boards.

ok, and if i did mess it up, im getting a new mobo and processor for Christmas anyways.:)
