Pc Upgrade!. Need Help!

Hi Everyone!,

My Graphics card at the moment dosnt quite fit in with the gaming community!. It dosnt meet the Minium for Bf2 so i need help from you guys!.

I need to find a decent Graphics card (I can go up to £100) and that budget is also for Ram aswell please can you help me out with this please suply links and i live in england by the way!.

Basiclly tell me what i sould get with th £100 to make my gaming much better!

Might help a lot if you posted what your current system specs are. Kind of hard to make a recommendation on anything when we don't know what you have (video card AGP or PCI-E, ram DDR or DDR2).

I have £100 English Pounds (GBP)

And heres some of my PC specs
512mb ddr ram
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600
AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2100+
1.73 GHz Performance Rated at 2.10 GHz


Any helps on a good graphics card i can get to make bf2 run smoothly!
with £100 POUNDS! (GBP!)???

You want to get more RAM tbh matey, there is no point in getting a good card with only 512MB of RAM, get another gig of ram, i presume your using DDR333?

This is where i go to get my stuff from.

ah, well the 7 Series has a couple of cards on sale with PCI-x16 on most of them.

I rekon he will be on AGP but really need to know if its 4 or 8x.

Almost certainly^. Just buy yourself a 1gb stick of the cheapest ram that fits your motherboard, then, if you can afford it, try to get the 7600gs, very decent for the money.

If your absoloutly sure that'll fit with your mobo, then yes, definatly that card is an improvment over your current, but adding a gig of Ram is also important.

Its better than the 7600GS.

Also i would upgrade your RAM to atleast a gig. The 7600GT would be able to run BF2 mostly high with 1 medium, BUT that ONLY if you have atleast 1.5gb of RAM. If you stay with only 512mb, you will only be able to play at mostly medium, with some low.
