    Power Supply.

Hey guys my power supply just burnt out and I was wondering if you guys would know which kind to get and if you can please find me one on this web site http://www.microbytes.com and please try to keep the price to a minimal.

    Here are my specs:

    Amd athlon 64 3500+
    1 gig of ddr400 ram
    Geforce 6600Gt
2 Hds one 80 gig Maxtor one 120 gig western digital.
    DVD-RW rom.
    Live! 24-bit sound card.

And thats all I can think of right now.

    Thanks.

    Re: Power Supply.

From that site: Antec 400W for $69. Plenty of power for your system, and enough so that you can upgrade your gpu later. Antec's are usually rock-solid, there are plenty of cables, and they are usually long enough for any application.

The Raidmax/sparkle/foxconn/cooler master/aspire PSU's would probably be alright, too. Get at least a 350W for your current system--that should be enough to power your current computer even if the mfg does something cheesy like up the 3.3 and 5.5V rails to make it "look" like a better psu.

Personally I'd make 400 the minimum. No tellling when you may get new equipment and your power requirements go up. I just bought the Antec 400 today from a local resource (same price) and it installed painlessly. 2 sata connectors and power plugs that work both P4 and Athlon right out of the box.
