FRAPS won't record sound.

I have the full version of FRAPS, but I can't for the life of me get it to capture sound.



I have an onboard soundcard.

Anybody have any ideas?

yea buy a soundcard, mine wont record sound either, and from what ive read in my case I cant fix it, try setting the recording to line out.

Shouldn't I still at leasy be able to get SOME sort of sound, even with an onboard sound card?

I can record sound with my onboard soundcard (AC'97) using Fraps 2.5.0 (full) although its extremly loud and distorted.

EDIT: I didn't make any changes in any form of setttings.

Did you contacted the company that makes FRAPS or visited their website to see if they have a patch or fix for it?

no wonder its set to Microphone, try and see if you can set it to something differernt like I said earlier.
