Hello chaps

I'm new here.
I'm not a massive online player, but have been playing BF Vietnam and DC for a few years. I'm very advanced on those, always get top placing and BF2 is dis-hearteningly difficult.

I'm absolutely, unbelievably crap at it. Just cannot get to grips with -killing-. Aim the crosshairs, fire, just cannot hit the bastard (which leads to me dying from two shots from the person who is jumping around).

Don't worry you'll catch up with the rest soon. No-one is good from the beginning (even if they'd like to think so). At 10,000 points i'm still rubbish myself.

Getting to grips with the killing now, I tell to use bursts instead of fully automatic and try moving and not stay prone.
It's still a bugger to play, totally different to the previous battlefield's I've come to know and love.

I cannot get to grips with this AT ALL. Killing is so unbelievably difficult, I get prone, I get the enemy dead centre in the sight, I fire a couple of bursts, I don't hit him. And then the enemy jumps up and kills me with one burst.
WTF am I doing wrong before I just sack the whole thing and go back to the BF DC.

Hey noob here myself... found my way here out of desperation after suffering the way you are...then found out about the hit detection issues... do a search on youtube for some interesting videos.... I now know to try to shoot 6" behind the enemies head for a shin-shot.
