    asus cd drive

    swassup guys, i bought my self a OEM ASUS cd/dvd rw drive,it plays cd's just fine but when i put in a dvd movie it would go to the main menu of it and not do anything, then i would click on play episode and it would say a disc with an unsupported format in drive \:

    wats this mean? i installed everything that came in the cd

    anyone know wat the problem is?

    did u install the latest drivers for the device??? and there is this way but im not sure how to do it...u have to assign the drive to the right letter..i think...

        do you have a DVD playing program? like power DVD
        if you havnt installed a program it actualy wont play your dvd's and unfortunaly getting an OEM ment u got no software support with prob a program on a cd

          yes power dvd 5 that is wat comes up before it says the driver thing

            um ok i use power dvd 5 n it hjas been a great program runs all DVD's that i throw at it. are the region settings correct for your area? go into device manager open dvd/cd drives and right click on your asus properties then dvd region, there u can set it up for where u are but be carefull cos windows will only let u change it about 4 times

                  Sort of a dumb question but, is the dvd you are trying to use scratched? Try another one.
