    pickin up some new speakers....

Hello, im about to purchase The Logitech X-350 5.1 Speaker System.

First of all, I was wondering how these speakers are. I've heard nothing but good reviews about them at www.newegg.com.

Secondly, I'm wondering what kind of sound card I will need. I will be using this Speaker System for my Computer and my XBOX 360. So I have a few question's about sound card's.

    (1) Will I be able to hear my xbox 360 game's in Surrond Sound?

    (2) How much will this sound card cost me in order to listen my games in Surrond Sound?

    (3) I Will be running my 360 off of my monitor for better picture quality. Will I run my xbox 360 audio through this sound card?

Finally, can you leave a link(s) of a sound card(s) of exactly what I need it for?

    Thank You!

My friend has these speakers and they serve him well, although he does not game he can annoy his parents and neighbours at the same time with that subwoofer.

You will need a 5.1 sound card to match your 5.1 speakers, personally my onboard supports surround sounds and 5.1 but yours may not. Depending on your budget you can get some dirt cheap ones I think I got my SoundBlaster! for £30.

I will say this, you get what you pay for.

For 48 dollars those are probably not bad but you can definitely get a LOT better, I have creatives 2.1 setup that ran me a little more ($67) and I'm glad I paid a little more because I can tell. I upgraded these from a 2.1 setup from logitech I believe and they were around $30, I ended up throwing them away they were so terrible :hmm: .

              i have these speakers

the same speakers just only 2.1 they have been great but the sub is loud have to have it on low all the time, for xbox gaming they came with a "game adapter" wich was just 2 RCA conecters to 3.5mm sterio adapter so looking at that i dont think you will get true surround sound
