Wide Screen or Normal?

ive never had a widescreen monitor and will use it mostly for gaming and x360 gaming....should i go ahead and get it?

I have a widescreen on my laptop and personally, i dont really like it.

it messes up your background, games, etc. But, it does seem a little bit bigger since its wider and you can have more windows open.

It depends on what you want from it and what else you will use it for other than gaming.

i like it i got 2 of them now it takes some getting used to with how wide it is.

i have been trying to decide if i should upgrade to a widescreen also, watch alot of TV and DVD's on my comp but also want the games to run good

I have played BF2 in widescreen and it looks crappy. Unless thats all you are going to use it for then no, but widescreen is cool.

well i will most likley be usuing it for xbox 360 gaming more than pc gaming..

Just bought 22" widescreen and I love it! I play BF2 all the time and I love the graphics on it. Call of Duty 2 supports Widescreen natively and looks amazing! I used the command line edit to my BF2 shortcut to enable the 1680X1050 widescreen rez. The 2d menus are a tat distorted, but in game everything is awesome!!
