Limiting Bandwidth usage?

Well i've been having this problem with bandwidth usage on my network. When my brother is playing world of warcraft it sucks all the bandwidth out of the connection to play it, leaving my dad and I with pretty much nothing to use. This causes us to lag alot while playing games, have jumping pings in game (30-600), and increased loading times on all the web pages we view (this all happens when he is playing WoW).

My question is, is there any way to limit the amount of bandwidth my brother is allowed to use at any one time while playing his game to leave my dad and I with some to use?

I've tried looking around in my router control panel and there is nothing (its a 4 year old linksys router). Is there some sort of program or somthing?

There's a gaming router that might just help you out, but i am not sure, you will have to read on the website to see if it does help.

Good luck with the router. A buddy of mine bought it, i personnaly dont see a point to it. But then again i am the only gamer on my house, but since you have 3 people on the same connection i guess it will help somehow.

what model linksys? have you checked for any official bios updates or custom firmware that adds QoS?

just assign his WoW lower priority than everything else
