My comp crashed, how do I get my sound?

I looked up the board, is onboard, unless he bought a sound card. Go into the bios and make sure onboard sound is enable. If so, go MY COMPUTER and under the hardware stuff, see if the sound device is detected and is working properly. After that try to reload the sound drivers with the motherboard CD should have them.

P.S. Your mobo might also be going bad. Or you could also purchase a sound card.

Okay I downloaded the driver and did this. I tried extracting something called "Soundman". When I open the extracted version it opens something called "Sound effect", but still no sound. Under volume control, I can't move the volume bar. As in the bar is transparent and I can't even click on it. Thanks for your help guys.

Did you go into the bios, like i told you to make sure the the onboard sound was enable?
