8800GTS is equal to 8800GTX in 1280x1024 resolutions , if you want to feel the power of the 8800GTX then you have to own monitor what supports over 1600x1200 resolution .

no $hit, anyone who pays money like this for a vid. card deserves to be robbed.

Quite right, anybody stupid enough to pay those prices must either want a bigger penis or have more money than sense.

Oh my friend you have not been playing BF2 for long. The mighty BF2 engine will crash no matter what you put on it

I wouldn't bother to buy anything DX10 until the release of Vista.

Point being? Why drop down that much cash for something that will have expired its use by the time DX10 is released? Never buy the first generation of something that's just new...

Well, if someone wanted to build a computer right now and not wait two and a half months for vista, I don't think the gts would be such a bad choice. And it overclocks well too...

Becuz well Newegg, is giving out vista coupons with a purchase of xpp,
and they are all constantly having these little 5$ instant savings, so really your not loosing much buy buildin now than later.
btw the prices of the 8 series wont go down at all for a while.

if anyone is going after one of these cards, your better off using the evga step up program,

                                look at these forum replies,
