    New Computer, Help Needed.

I'm getting a new comp around christmas. This is what I have been offered:

    Intel Core 2 E6300 2130mhz
    1024 DDR2 667mhz
    250 7200rpm SATA
    DVD+/-RW 16X Dual Layer
    GF 7600 GT 256Mt PCI-E

I know I should still buy an extra-gb of memory, and an other procerssor, 'cause that's dualcore, right?

So now I'm wondering, is this PC able to play BF2, at least on normal settings?

    Thanks for your answers.

Just bumbing. I really need some answers!

That comp will be able to play BF2 at medium/high settings. If you get 2gb of RAM it will be able to play BF2 at all high. Also the CPU that you would be getting is dual core.

Isn't it just supporting Dual Cores? So it's only 1 processor, when I'm able to get two.

Intel Core 2 is a dual core CPU. 2 cores in one.

So I'm not able to buy another processor then, and I only have the 2,1 GhZ?

Ya what wrong with the CPU you would have? I would logve to be able to buy that one?

                So the E6300 is good?

But how many GhZ are there in total? The 2,1 as mentioned above?

The Dual Core means that if my MoBo supports DC I'm then able to have 2 processors? Or not?

Dual core does not mean that you have 2 CPU's. All it means is that your 1 CPU has 2 cores running simultaneously, which is like having 2 CPU's but is not. can someone add on to this since im not much of a techie.

                      Intel Core 2 E6300 2130mhz

Good CPU, new technology, dual cores. The E6600 is the more common one for gamers alike who are on a medium budget for the CPU. The E6600 is a great CPU, but the E6300 is good enough.

                      1024 DDR2 667mhz

Yep 2GB is better now anyway.

                      250 7200rpm SATA

No problem there, might want a second drive for backing up?

                      DVD+/-RW 16X Dual Layer

                      Its fine.

                      GF 7600 GT 256Mt PCI-E

7600 is a fine card, 7900 series are better though. But 7600 should be fine for BF2.

                        CPU is just fine
RAM is fine (is it buffered or heat sink?)
                        hd is fine
                        dd is too
                        and graphics is great.
                        looks good

^ I agree, everything looks good except having 2gb of RAM would really help.

Ya it wouldnt smooth out everything, and plus you could run bf2 on high - max

Looks fine, but the stock speed for an e6300 is 1.86ghz, not 2.1ghz
