D2 not installing for some reason.... please help

When i put the disc in the computer it ask what i want to do with it etc. then it asks me what installation size i want, i choose multiplayer, asks if i agree on the terms etc. THEN it says:

"unable to save uninstall data file. Installation aborted."

I then choose singleplayer installation i agree to terms and it says the same thing. I then choose full installation i agree to terms and it still says the same god damn thing.

Can someone please help me tell me what im doing wrong or help me out at least?
