Losing Bass when burning a Cd

Have any of you realized that when you burn something to a Cd (a song) almost all the bass is just.... gone. Is there a certain format I should have the audio in? Or a different program to use? Its just really annoying...

i havent noticed this...(i use nero 6 ultra edition)

could it be because when u listen to ur music on ur compouter , u prob have nice bass boost from ur speakers or a subwoofer, but when u listen to a cd in ur cd player with bad headphones, u dont get as much bass

Are you ripping it to an mp3 or leaving it as a wav. Ripping it to an MP3 will remove alot of the unaudible information that is in a wav file thus removing alot of the bass. Hope this helps if you rip to mp3 use a higher bite rate to retain more of the infomation. like 256 or higher makes the files bigger but you get alot better sound.

I usually burn it as a wav. I'll try the higher bit rate and see what happens.

Virus- Thats what I thought but I tried to play it on my sound system for my t.v. (which has loads of bass) and It still had very little bass.

Might be low quality, try to get it to 192. That's what i use most of mine at. I personnaly thing 256 is way too much, but i guess that's a matter of opinion.

lol did u try playing the cd in teh pc again, i bet you have the equalizer on the pc setup so theres alot of bass.

Well if thats the case, would you know how to make that setup to be on the cd?
I tested it and I took a cd I bought from the store and then I took that cd, ripped it to my computer and burned it. The one I bought sounded better on the stereo but sounded the same on the computer. So, I don't think its an equalizer problem.
