Sony Vaio Laptop...not working? Help? New Guy!

I went into Best Buy today and Bought Battlefield 2 and went to the computer section to ensure that it would work on my computer...I met all the requirements but the game will not launch...I loaded it just fine...but it won't launch..goes to a black screen and then back to windows....anyone help??

    here are my specs...I have a 1.83 Centrino Duo...1.5G of SDRAM...80G hard drive...NVIDEA 7400 I believe?...I know it's a 7...windows xp home edition.

how do I find out on my computer what video card I have? and how to update the drivers?

if you have an Nvidia card (which if it is a 7400 or something liek that, it is an Nvidia) then go here Drivers - Clicky! and use the box thingy to find your card series and drivers and so forth, download the latest ones and install them (make sure you uninstall any old ones first, which you can do by dbl clicking My Computer and on the left side go to "Add/Remove Programs" or whatever it says, find any old display drivers/graphics drivers and uninstall them, make sure you restart computer if asked to).
If you have an ATI card, which it doesnt sound like you do but just incase, either go to ATiI Drivers - Clicky and select your OS and find the latest drivers, or you can use these drivers (which I recommend over ATI drivers, better for gaming) at http://www.omegadrivers.net.

Oh, and if you have an Nvidia, you should probly have the Nvidia symbol on your Taskbar (bottom right) somewhere on there, otherwise the only other way i can think of to find out what kind of card it is, right click "My Computer" select "Properties" then select the "Hardware" tab at the top, then click the "Device Manager" button. on the next menu that pulls up, click the "+" sign next to "Display Adapters", It should say what kind of card it is.

Hope I didnt confuse ya in any way
