Does it make much of a difference at the moment?

Well duh, ofcourse PCIX is superior, but some people have some decent systems that still use AGP, and would like to update their VGA, without having to update their whole system. That is the reason i posted this.

The interface makes little bearing on graphics performance. I don't think there's a card available that used the bandwitdth of AGP 8x at the moment, let alone PCI-E.

No s**t thats why you posted it, but its besides the point, unless you run at resolutions used by 46inch widescreens you dont need and will never need the x16 of pcie. Its a nice to have mate not a need to have.

Certainly not. AGP 8x has 2.1Gbps of bandwidth while pci-express 8x sports 2.0Gbps. Still the AGP platform might be slightly slower because of lower chipset performance.

so Nvidia will have to release more AGP cards
