Keyboard stops working

I have a very strange little maddening problem. My keyboard becomes totally unresponsive after I use the map function( currently set at caps lock )
Not always though, bout 50percent of the times I use that key. I have to restart the pc completely to get the kb back. New PC, Dell dual core3.4 G 2GB Ram 7900 Gforce card. Cant see the system being the problem though. Would appreciate it gr8tly if someone could help.

Couple of questions first:

1) Does pressing the same key outside of BF2 product the same kind of problem? If no, then I would recommend reinstalling BF2 (with latest patches).

2) Have you updated the drivers for the keyboard? (some do actually have proper drivers)

3) Are you using a wireless keyboard? If yes, try changing the batteries. I've had all kind of weird problems with wireless keyboards.

4) Try using a different keyboard. If this fixes your problem then you know that the keyboard is busted.

5) Finally you could always just send me your computer. I won't send it back, but at least you won't have a keyboard problem any more.
