Cpu fan speed

Hey, I bought a new computer a while ago and what annoys me is that the cpu fan is constantly changing rpm. I was wondering if there was a way to make it stay at a constant speed.

should be a setting for it in the bios

Ive checked, there are some options but I don't know which to pick. I might go and just mess around and see..

Might help if you said what components you have, if its an asus motherboard then thatll be Q-fan, otherwise more info needed.

uhm some machines are different,

when you switch the pc on usually you press the 'Delete' key if its a Dell then its 'F2'

^^ yeah it will say something like "Setup Press F2 (or some other button) when u boot up normally

If it is an AMD chip you may have cool'n'quiet enabled in the BIOS so it may also be worth checking that.

i have an intel mobo with a celeron d processor. I found one option but it only slowed down the fan, it didnt stop the variable speeds.

im not sure, i bought it already put together. But im pretty sure its made by intel

Well if the option is available on the bios(not all mobo's allow you to play with all the settings) look for something like fan smart management or something, just look under CPU and CPU Fan, look at the settings, try to set then at full speed if possible, or which ever setting besides auto.
