Buying a new Graphics card soon.

Hey, im thinking of getting a 7900GT. Will it last me a couple of years? Right now i have a 7600GT, and im running almost everything on high, and i get 40-90 fps. I really dont know if i need a new card if im running pretty good settings. If i dont get a new graphics card, im getting the Thermaltake Armour series case .

PC specs:
Nvidia G 7600GT
1 gig of ram
Amd Athlon 3800+

Buy an extra 1gig of ram and save ur money to buy any new directx10 cards when they are launched by the end of the year

If you're going to upgrade your graphics card don't get a 7900GT...

but your best off buying a case...

yea, ive been thinking about the P180, but i think its too much for me, the price is fine but it has too many things in it lol.

plus i have a microatx mb, so it wont fit into it, thats why i wanted the Thermaltake armour series or the Tsunami

If I was you I would wait for D10 cards, they naturally will be more expensive but will last longer than a DX9 7900 card. That being said if you don't think you will be able to afford a DX10 card for some time it may be worth getting the 7900GT.

the 7600gt isnt that bad of a card...and i would keep it until like next year when the dx10 card prices drops

At this point, the extra gig of RAM will be more helpfull than a new vid card. I have a 6800GT and 2 Gig of RAM, and I get over 50 FPS with everything cranked.

I think my card will cry when Crysis comes out, though.. LOL
