Win64 patch

I am getting my buddy started on BF2.He has Win64 bit...He gets these messages.Does anyone know what this is? particles.fx(273): error x3041: unsupported complier target 'LOWPSMODEL

particles.fx(297): error x3041: unsupported complier target 'LOWPSMODEL'

particles.fx(251): error x3041: unsupported complier target 'LOWPSMODEL'

at the top (target window) Errors in effect: mods/bf2/shaders/particles/fx

I have no trouble at all with my x64 XP play'n or installing BF2, post his specs and try go'n here to reinstall directx

this update was released on 10/10/06.

Delete the cache files for the game also if that does not work he probly will have to reinstall the game.

Guys....how is Win Vista (64bit) as an OS on a whole?? Been thinking about upgrading, but have seen too many glitches from other people to make the leap just yet.

Dont know about Vista x64 I have Windows XP x64 it is really Server 2003 x64 striped down into a workstation OS. With its server kernal & memory manager it is much much more stable than x32 XP and driver support is much improved now.
