Even though you might just want to play BF2 or whatever, you will no doubt want to play newer games that come out. So if I was you either get:

Intel Duo Core 2. or a P4 Prescott or alike. Get at least a 3GHZ and dual core.

For AMD, a 3800+ is popular get dual core. Processors are needed for games yeah, but they are not the top requirement for games. Games rely on Graphics and RAM heavily. A 3800+ is fine, but you can bump up to a 4400+ maybe if you want.

Graphics cards, what you posted is old and outdated by far. It looks like your on a tight budget, so I suggest for Nvidia get a 7600 card.

So, for those options, I should pick the first one?

Yeah the 1st one since you have limited yourself to that, but the 1st one is your best bet imo.

                Re: Help me, please.

This package should work/play properly together, right?

                Motherboard: Asus P5B I965P S775 Core 2 Duo SATA2 Socket 775
Hard Drive: WESTERN DIGITAL 250GB SATAII 16MB
                Processor: INTEL PENTIUM D 945 3.4GHz/800MHz
                Memory: Kreton / Starex DDR2 1GB PC-5300 CL5
                Video-card: Inno3D 7950GT 512MB DDR3 PCI Express

So those work properly together? And I think that's pretty good hardware. Am I right?

                  Re: Help me, please.

I've got the x800xl mate, and tbh its a really good card, but old. It only has the SM2.0, not 3.0 like the cards of today, also it wont be able to run newer games because of this. So if I were you I'd buy the 7600gt, better quality and lasting appeal

OK replace the pentium D with a core 2 duo and get 2gig of ram + 550 psu will not harm (to be in the safe side ) otherwise its fine not to mention the 7950 does not support dx10 its ur call after all

What do you mean by the DX10?

So you'r saying that that "package" doesn't work like that? What sould I change?

No big changes please, that's pretty cheap.

                          Re: Help me, please.

I mean that the next generation graphic cards are coming soon so buying a directx9 is a bit of shame although it can play any game flawlessly but its better to get a cheaper card right now and upgrade later to directx10 so my suggestion as follows

                          Motherboard:
                          Asus P5B I965P S775 Core 2 Duo SATA2 Socket 775
                          Hard Drive:
                          WESTERN DIGITAL 250GB SATAII 16MB
                          Processor:
                          Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 Conroe 1.86GHz

                          Memory:
                          CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800

                          Video-card:
                          X1900XT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3

                          Power Supply:
                          Antec TruePower 2.0 TP2-550 EPS12V ATX12V 550W

                            Oh. You meant that.

Thanks, I appreciate you, HIV, for helping me like this, lol.

But I think I stick in those what I had in mind first. But thanks everybody.

OK but the graphics card I told u is better than the one u choosed and here is the proof and it is the same price

And even the processor that I gave u is much effecient and powerfull than that pentium D and here is another proof and is is 15$ more expensive :)
