well i finally installed my new case............ but i now need to activate windows......but when it trys to connect to the internet it says connection cannot be established......i did put in my D-LINK wireless card. but still nothing. on the back i see it says activity with the light on but next to power the light doesnt turn on. am i forgetting something??? please help!

You say installed new case, but did you reinstall windows? (which it sounds like)
Is it genuine windows?
Installed card drivers?
WEP encryption active and you forgot key? (mac address filtering is much better and safer btw)

Why the hell did you reinstall windows if you're just moving to a new case?

Anyway, to get the internet to work you're either going to have to use a direct link with an ethernet cable connected to the LAN port on your motherboard or install drivers for the D-Link card.

But some D-Link cards are weird... you have to start the installation without the card in the PCI slot, and it will tell you when to turn off the computer and put it in. If I try to install the drivers for my D-Link card when it's already in the slot, the driver setup freezes.

i forgot to tell u guys this..........but my computer doesnt like start. it turns on goes to the screen before the wondows xp loading were u get to choose setup by pressing f2 etc. etc. then ill have to press f1 to continue. then it will start but i cant do anything on my desktop till i activate XP which i cant cause my internet doesnt work. do i have to go to setup screen and do something there?

You must have something backwards because I dont see how just moving from one case to another could cause a problem like this. Double check and see it you hooked up all your hard drive cables and power.
