AGP Aperture

I've been hearing a lot of blibber blabber about this, and I'm curious how I can change mine. My chipset is an Intel, and my BIOS is Dell. Also, I'm running an XPS 400, any help on how I can reach my BIOS settings?

when ur computer is first booting up...hit F2 i believe (it should say "Hit F2 to enter setup" and it could be F3...just look for that) and u mite have to hit it couple of times and then when u enter the setup..look for video settings or something like that to changge it

depends on what size mem u got on yer card. ie for me i have 128Mb so i choose 128MB AGP Aperture size, although i have played with my settings i now have it set to 245MB.

That's nice, but I'm looking for the way to find the settings to change this AGP Aperture size. So far, looking through the boot menu, there is nothing about AGP Aperture.

During the initial boot of a computer the BIOS supplier will be displayed. If OEM logo splash screen is displayed, press ESC key to see the boot up information. Press the Pause/Break key if text displays too fast.

u dont just want to press it once, constantly keep pressing it until something happens, if u see the XP logo it aint worked, press the reset button and repeat the process untill u find the correct button to press.

Also need some more info on your system, goto start, run, type dxdiag and hit OK,

on the first screen copy us in on what it say u have.

erm is the xps 400 not got pci express

I'm sure the 7800GT is only and has always only been available on pci express its the 7800GS for AGP

I may be wrong though

Yeh it is only PCI-e so there is no AGP option.
