What temp does your GX2 idle at?
Mine idles between 117 (F) and 128(F), is this normal?

from an hour or so just messing round (played bf2 for most of the time..)
Main GPU Temp- GPU °C Min - 64 Max - 82 Avg - 70
- GPU1 °C Min - 58 Max - 79 Avg - 65.0
- GPU2 °C Min - 70 Max - 85 Avg - 74.9

You are definitely running on the hot side, which is not good for the card!!!!!
1) check PSU amperage across your 12V rail (make sure its got enough)
because you might not have enough juice from your PSU so your running hot
would not run that card with anything less than a 600W PSU
3) Insufficient cooling in your case, the bigger the graphics card the more juice and the more heat it cranks into your case. Make sure your case can breath (not tucked into some small space). Get rid of all the dust bunnies, and check fan speeds. You might need some fans directly over or on your graphics card, or if you have the money go with liquid cooling and GPU cooling blocks!!!!

sorry for hijacking this thread but when your pc boots and it shows the graphics card memory how much does it show you as having for some reason mines only showing 512mb ram dunno if there it should post 1gb
also my card at full load hits 48-50 degrees c

Well the card is two 512MB cards basically put together, so it might not show as that. those temps are a little hot, but nothing to worry too much about. At those temps, he doesn't really have to worry about frying his card. GPUs can take a lot more heat than CPUs.Originally posted by kulamonster3Comment
