I have a question. I have two computers at home. Both have Battlefield 2 installed on them. One is mine and the other is my son's computer. I connect to DSL through my computer and when I play BF2 online the pings are anywhere from 70 to 130 and it plays fine. Not choppy at all. On my son's computer in connects through a network to mine. His pings are from 130 to 300 and the game runs choppy or it get kicked off for pings being too high. Our graphics cards are about the same. He has a ATI Radeon X800 and I have the ATI Radeon X1600. The graphics are great. How can we correct this ping problem?

Re: High Pings
I will have to get back to you on that. Right now I'm at work. I'll send another reply later this evening. Thanks for your quick response.
You asked what the rate of transfer was between both connections. How do I find out the rate of transfer for both?Comment

Re: High Pings
How do I figure Transfer rate?
My connection speed is 100 Mbps.
I'll have to check his connection rate. Also is there a way to control this so BF2 plays smoother instead of all the hesitation or lagging is concerned on his computer?Comment

Re: High Pings
I really don't know who's trying to help me with my issue, but I did the speed test from two places. the download rate was 1262 and 975 the upload was 227 and 225 and finally the Latency was 165 and 202. I have no idea what this means. Will someone let me know how to correct the high pinging rate on my son's computer. By the way I only did this test on my computer.Comment

Re: High Pings
you have a 1mb(126kbps download) connection line, and attempting to play 2 BF2 games over it, making you really play on the speed of 512k(55kbps download) that will cause the pings, and the servers locations to where your connecting toComment
