ok here is my question, first off I play BF2 on 2 computers..desktop when at home and on my laptop when deployed or the wife nags and kicks me off the desktop. Here are the specs
Desktop:
pos DELL dimension
pentiumR 4 cpu 2.80GHz
2.79GHz, 512Mb of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 6800
80Gb hard drive 48Gb left
Laptop
sony vaio
pentiumR M 1.86GHz
1.86GHz, 1.00Gb RAM
NVIDIA GeForce Go 6200 turbo cache
100GB hard drive 76.7Gb left
I dont know if thats all the info you need but im just going by the system info.
Anyways my question is, why does my laptop load and play better than my desktop? On the laptop my lowest pings dispayed at around 20's and on the desktop they are 170's to 200+ The laptop cant handle the settings on high but the desktop can with no lag. Before I was deployed for a month, I could play on the desktop and pings were around 30 to 40 but now they are to high and I get kicked so I have to switch over to the laptop. Both computers are linked to a router so its the same service but one has higher pings than the other. I dont get it...do I need to adjust something in the desktop?
If you can help I would appreciate it.
