    Advice please

Hi I havent tryed Battlefield 2 yet as my parts havent arrived.

I was wondering how ram would work in my motherboard I mean I have 4 slots and 1 is used by 1 gig of ram and the other is used by 256 stick should I just purchase a fresh stick or could I throw in 2x256 sticks and get decent performance?

    Specs:

    AMD 64 3200+
MSI MS7093 Ati Radeon Express Motherboard
MSI Nvidia 6800 256mb pci express
    1 gig pc3200 + 256 pc3200
    2x80 gig hardrives
    17inch lcd
    4 meg connection
    audigy 2 zs soundcard

I hope to play Bf2 at medium settings and hopefully smoothly :) just need advice on wether i leave my current ram setup as it is for the time being.

Buy another stick of 1 gig pc3200 and don't use your 256mb stick. And then, check your motherboard guide to place your two stick of memory correctly for dual channel operation

yeah another gig (to make 2 gigs) would be the beest for bf2 and if u have a 6800, i recommend reading about how to unlock the pixel pipelines to make it somewhat equal to a 6800gt or 6800ultra (pipleline- wise that is)
