I know it is not giving it's most performance because with everything cranked up i am only getting an average 30 - 40 FPS in BF2, I have no clue on what the problem is.
What's your resolution? on my old monitor (17" @ 1024x768) bf2 ran fine with everything maxed. Now, that I have a bigger monitor (20.1" @ 1600x1200) I can't run on max because my fps drops down to those levels on 64 man. I run at 4 medium(terrain, lighting, shadows, and global lighting) and the rest high and 4xAA. It still can drop down to the high 40's in situations with alot of people but the average is around 75fps.

Anything below 50fps is noticeable on 1600x1200 so I prefer to keep it above 50-60 as much as I can. Also, what's your resolution? 1280x1024 right? low fps is really noticeable on the bigger screen but with a good setup it's smooth slowness no choppiness.
