no... far to much for a laptop,,

edit; nevermind you cant cut that laptop down it doesnt allow single graphics

as much as i hate dell, i might convince myself to get an XPS laptop (saving a grand)

    PROCESSOR Intel ® Core™2 Duo Processor T7600 (2.33 GHz, 4 MB L2 cache, 667 MHz FSB)
OPERATING SYSTEM Genuine Windows® XP Professional, SP2 (incl Operating System Re-Installation CD)
SUPPORT SERVICES Premium XPS Service, 3 Year (incl. Gaming and On-Site Support)
LCD 17" UltraSharp™ Wide Screen WUXGA (1920x1200) TFT Display with TrueLife™
    MEMORY 2048MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM (2x1024)
HARD DRIVE 120GB (5,400rpm) Hard Drive
OPTICAL DRIVE(S) Fixed Internal 8X DVD+/-RW Drive Double Layer with Software
    GRAPHICS CARD 512MB DDR3 nVidia® GeForce™ Go 7900 GTX graphics card

is enough for high gaming on BF2/2142,,

could proberly make a whole new Desktop with the £1k you save :)

3447.95 for a gaming laptop is in my opinion a big waste of money. Alienware are well known for overpriced system.

I would follow the advice of Scinto.

i hate laptops so i have no comment. but you know i felt like posting anyway. Drop the almost 4 grand on two desktops and give one to your best bud, than you and he could play bf2 all the time.

I agree. Only if you HAVE to have portablity, would you want to purchase a gaming laptop. Compared to PCs, laptops are 2x more expensive and 1/2 the power.

I'll stick with my first generation Game Boy for my portable games.

Wow that is a disgusting amount of money you are willing to blow. If you are going to spend that much, at least go for a Core 2 Duo, they are blowing AMDs out of the water. In my other thread I posted my specs of the Conroe system I built, although it is a desktop. I would go for a desktop and custom build it, it is far cheaper and they are better performers.

Thats almost $6000 AUD. Theres no way id pay that, i say you should buy a killer gaming rig with that amount of cash. And/or send some cash down my way.

Yeah, I buy a killer gaming rig not a laptop. Unless you plan on not being at home or near your machine alot.

Oi don't slate me yet, i aint bought it.just seeing what you guys think thats all.
ok then,if you had 3500 to spend (£) list your rig!

Also space is an issue for me at the minute. My first child is due any day now and what was once my computer room is now filled with a cot and **** loads of cuddly toys hence the laptop consideration.

For that kind of money you could build a sweet pc gaming rig and have a laptop for portable needs.
