    Help with graphics card please

My current one is fine, but I can't play BF2 with the graphics higher than low, because it'll be laggy. Can someone show me a link to a graphics card which

    Doesn't cost more than 300 - 350 dollars.
    Can't be PCI-Express
Run BF2 on Medium/High with no problem.

    Thanks. =)

    PCI or AGP?

For your sake, I hope it's AGP.

Also, 2GB of RAM is imperative to running BF2 on max details.

He means 2GB of RAM (memory), not hard drive space. Moved to Tech Center.

What card do you have now? Also are you sure you dont have an AGP slot? If you only have PCI theres nothing else to upgrade to.

            He said "Cant be PCI-E".

I'm using a nVidia 6800GS 512Mb. and that runs it in almost max settings at a decent framrate, it should even be playable on max, but i prefer better fps.

Anyway, you'll have to shop around because i don't know what price they go for these days, i think you can get one for under $300 but being from UK i'm making a guess because i paid in pounds :P

If you can spare the cash you might be able to get one of those nice new 7900s, those are out in AGP and look pretty nifty!

Also as stated above, it is crucial you have a good enough CPU and plenty of RAM, otherwise a new card won't do squat for BF2.

*edit* Oh you did say you have PCI, i must be blind.

Disregard the above, unless you have AGP, then you're ok!

If you don't know how to find out, download CPU-z and look on the motherboard page. http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpu-z-136.zip

im guessing u use agp because pci (not pci-express) is just not good

i think the best agp cards right now are the 7800gs and the x850xt pe which i think u can find under $350

The best you're gonna be able to do, and 800x600 all low will barely be playable.
