I have 512mb of SD Ram, the guy at the store laughed at me when I told him SD ram. You think I need more?

Your link is broken, but I believe the device you are referring to is a Gigabyte I-Ram drive. This does not add more RAM to your PC, it actually acts as a solid start hard drive using standard off the shelf DIMM modules.

This is a device that makes a drive on your PC. Ive been exploring this unit as a potential load/verify time killer. I have so far only one or two people on these forums that stated Iram made loading/verifying times next to instant.

One problem with this device is that it needs power 24/7 to stay stable.

Reviews report it to be OK, but not amazing, and certainly not instantaneous. It is the beginning of better things to come though.

I-ram needs the computer to be plugged in to the electricity. Not your PC turned on. Also it comes with like 80 muins battery supply, and you can buy additional batteries. I-ram is affordable Solid State HDD, designers and large firms use Solid State because render times are extreme, and there is no need for the thing to spin because ir is random access compatible. It loads windows in under 5 seconds. It fits into PCI (not sure, maybe PCI E). If you have the cash there is HyperOs Drive 4, which allows up to 16 GB or RAM for your HDD, but it costs a lot.
