PSU has no pci-e connector - 7600GT need one?

Thinking about using my 3 year old PSU on new system build, but no pci connectors... Do some pci video cards NOT need a line to psu? I thought I saw that somewhere. Specifically, do the 7600GT's need one or do they just power from the slot?

Cards will come with a connector that uses two 4-molex connectors to make the 6-pin PCIe connector, but I don't think the 7600gt needs the extra power anyway.

edit: yeah, the 7600gt's don't even have a connector for the extra power. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...gt&srchInDesc=
