Whatever u do, Dont buy as 7600GS or GT, It will make u cry.. its horrible. Get a 7900GS or at LEAST a 7800GT if you can afford it, Turst me I bought a 7600GS and now Iam ordering a 7900GT, beucase the card was soo bad.. You can only do Meduim GFX with it,

Run away from Celeron.

Get a full blooded CPU, chances that Celeron might be missing something important.

That 150 watt power supply will barely light your laser mouse. Get a 480watt or better. Your link actually shows a 500 watt antec PSW.

You just want one 80 gig drive? How about a bunch of drives like a few SATA's where you can spread your load between C:\ system D:\ videos and music and F:| RAID for gaming?

What RAM are you wanting to use? With your current board you can go up to PC3200 DDR RAM. RAM is cheap, try to stick with branded ram and away from generic.

Does your power supply have enough "Connections" to add more drives and devices in the future?

Do you have a good CPU Cooler and a fat tower with 120mm fans to get all of that heat out?

That BIOSTAR motherboard is not genuine ASUS. And IT DOES have a PCI Express slot according to your newegg details.

That video card has 128 bit.. yer gonna be SORRY!!!! Find a card with full 256 bit or better.

Shipping will add to your cost along with all the other stuff you forgot to get. (Bolts, cases, wires, fasteners, artic cooling, grills etc etc etc etc... 350 is like so small of a budget. Plan on 1000 or better.

When you are FINALLY ready to order, do it one time paying one charge for shipping all that computer parts AT ONE TIME. Dont order parts and have them shipped one by one to your home.

If you are building your system, do it on a wooden workbench and not that staticy carpet.

I would, but I'm rolling out right now... I'll edit this space when I get back :)

And the 7600gt is not a bad card at all. Bubbl3s was basing that statement on his experiences with a 7600gs, which is considerably worse than the gt.

I dont build systems that cheap. I try to get the biggest and best and they cost thousands to build. I dont know how to budget build.

Usually I start with the vid card. I get the biggest, fastest and strongest proven card that everyone says can run a game very well.

Then build around that.

What do you mean they are not meant for gaming? Ive overclocked mine and scored over 2600 in 3dmark with this $100 card. And its a good buy for sli, becuase two only cost $200, and youll get the performance of a 7900gt at high resolutions.

Maybe I dont overclock.

Maybe I dont want two cards.

Maybe I dont care about the 3dmark. That score isnt not going to decide your survival in Karkand's streets.

There are cards that can game, other cards are a waste. I spent 400 dollars on a pure-blooded Ti4600 that had a 4 week waiting list at retail and that card just pwned all other cards several years ago. I still have that card.

The Card Im using with this system is a ASUS 12 piper that was 200 dollars less than the premium 6800 at the time 6800's were all the rage. I dont quite get the extra framerates but at the time I ran just about as fast as the bigger 16 piper. But run up against a player with the uber 16 piper, he may just get the extra bit of smoothness and faster framerates needed to put the first shot into the head and win.

Now that we moved into dual core, multipule power connections and hybrid water cooling onboard very powerful cards.. we gotta be careful which card we put into that computer.

If you intend to play BF2, find the card that everyone says runs BF2 very well and is supported by the game totally. That means doing some research.

There are many cards on the market today, all of which wants your dollar. ALOT of those cards will not step up and perform when that knife or gunfight occurs.

Ive been in this a long time and I still say hardware is teh king. Not budget bin $100 overclocked "Has-beens"
